Concrete has become a great alternative for interior surfaces and floors. Not that I am going to rip out the new carpet, yet! Most homes come with a garage which has a poured concrete floor. After years of use they ugly. Ours was actually in overall good shape but was in need of a facelift. We decided to refinish the surface with an epoxy paint product made by Rust-Oleum® Professional Epoxy Paint We chose a two step product: 1 – cleaning and prepping the floor, 2 – painting and applying flecks. We will also do a high gloss clear coat to finish it off and to give it showroom finish. But this will have to wait until the temperature gets back up to 60 degrees.
Make sure it has some traction – would not want little Thor – or any of you! – to slip on a shiny garage floor.
That is what the flakes are for, Ellen! 🙂
