I hated the rust-colored hallway and stair carpeting. HATED IT!
One of the first things I had to do was change it out.
I went to several flooring places and settled on Pars Flooring America on Islington Street, in Portsmouth. Moshen was awesome! He really took his time and asked the right questions: What is your lifestyle? How do you see this area being used? And most importantly, what’s your budget?
I wanted a carpet that would withstand the everyday traffic of a busy family with teenagers. I also wanted it to be light so it would brighten up dark hallways and stairwells.
What I love about this new carpeting is that it has texture that reminds me of a waterfall, the manufacturer is Godfrey Hirst, the style is Woodcrest and the color is Dogwood (of course).
I LOVE this carpet and it feels so good to walk on.
The installers were excellent! Steve and Frank took their time and worked magic. The carpet looks amazing, has brightened the house, and has already been christened by Thor!
If you are looking to have carpet installed and want to contact my guys, email me and I will send you their contact info. Steve Mutch is out of Maine and Frank Burovac is here on the NH Seacoast.
I love your blog. So much fun. Thank you.
Beverly
Thanks, Beverly! I’m having so much fun doing this. All the contractors have been so great so far, and don’t mind that I am taking pictures of them working.
I have been reading the blog since you started. I love the new carpet. It makes that area look so much brighter!! Instead of the dungeon that the rust carpet made it look before. Looking forward to more posts!
Jules
Thanks, Julie! All suggestions and comments, and feedback are greatly appreciated!
